If you need to end
a process running as a SAS server, use one of the following methods:
-
If you are using the SAS Metadata
Server, use the SAS Management Console to end a process.
-
If you are using another SAS server,
use the UNIX scripts that shipped with the servers to stop the process.
You can also use these scripts to start (or restart) a server, as
well as determine whether the server is already running. For more
information about these scripts, contact your site administrator.
Note: If the server does not respond
to the UNIX script, then you can use the
kill
command
to end the server process. For more information, see
Using the UNIX kill Command.
