What's New in SAS 9


The SAS Help and Documentation included in Base SAS contains extensive online documentation and reference material. From a SAS window, select Helpthen SAS Help and Documentation.

The section What's New in SAS 9 provides detailed descriptions of new features and functionality for SAS 9. Learn about

   
   SAS features that provide for faster systems, robust performance, and improved efficiences and data access
   new and enhanced SAS language features that facilitate easier data access, greater data management, more robust analysis, and better data presentations
   extended Output Delivery System (ODS) features that allow you to implement and control the formatting of all SAS procedure output by providing more robust and greater variety of output destinations and formatting
   changes and enhancements to Base SAS 9 procedures, many made at the suggestion of users like you, that are designed to increase the functionality, performance and usability of the software.

The SAS Customer Support Center web site is your main access point to information in the Knowledge Base, Technical Support Center, Learning Center, and Community. The web site is regularly updated with news and the lastest publications from SAS.

   You can also subscribe to receive e-Newsletters such as

  • SAS Tech Report (highlighting new products and offering technical tips from SAS)
  • SAS Publishing News (delivering information about new books and online documentation)
  • Updates from SAS Technical Support (a listserv for information about new SAS Notes and Technical Support Documentation), among others.

The Technical Support web site provides searchable knowledge bases including
   
   Samples and SAS Notes (Sample programs and information used by Technical Support consultants to answer questions from our customers)
