Problem Note 21077: "Adjustment cannot be posted because the model is in error"
If changes have been made to the model hierarchy in the SAS® Financial
Management Studio Models workspace, a warning indicator (!) appears next
to the model along with a message in the lower border:
Adjustments must be posted because the hierarchies have changed
To clear the warning indicator and message, go to the Models workspace,
select the appropriate model, and in the Tasks pane select "Post adjustments for this model".
When you post adjustments you might receive the error:
Adjustments cannot be posted because the model is in error
This is likely due to deleting a member from a hierarchy in one of the
dimensions while the model still has a reference to the deleted member.
For example, a member might have been added to the Analysis (or any
other) dimension in a model. Later, that member might be deleted from the
(Analysis) dimension, which would cause the warning indicator (!) to
appear and require adjustments to be posted. If posting adjustments
causes a "model in error message" to be displayed, the model is still
trying to reference the deleted (Analysis) dimension member.
To clear this error and resynchronize the model, go to the Models
workspace, select the appropriate model, and in the Tasks pane select "Show properties for this model".
In the Properties dialog, select 'Dimensions', select the (Analysis)
dimension and change the "As-of date" entry to "Always use the current
date and time". This should clear the outdated reference to the deleted
(Analysis) dimension member.
For a list of events that might cause the status of a model in SAS
Financial Management to change from OK to warning, please refer to
SAS Note 20862 .
