Usage Note 15119: SAS Private JRE "System Update Error" when updating system requirements
for SAS 9 install
When you select Verify System Requirements before beginning the
installation of SAS 9, the following error message might appear:

System Update Error
The following system components could not be updated on your system:
SAS Private Java Runtime Environment
The SAS 9.1 platform cannot be installed until minimum system
requirements are met.
To work around this issue, follow these steps:
1. End the installation and verify through the Windows Task
Manager that no setup.exe's are listed in processes.
2. Select Start -> Run and navigate to the CD-ROM drive where the
installation CD is located.
3. Drill down to <CD-ROM drive letter>:\srw\bundles\sasjre\
and double-click on jresetup.exe.
4. Select Next in the install wizard's dialog boxes and then Finish.
5. Restart your installation.
