Usage Note 11072: Using Tomcat servlet container with SAS 9.1 requires different default
path
If Tomcat is used as the web servlet container for a SAS 9.1
installation, it is imperative that it be installed to a directory that
contains NO spaces. If Tomcat is already installed to the standard
default path, it must be moved or reinstalled. Having spaces in the
installation directory causes many further problems.
The pre-installation checklist warns of this requirement as noted below:
If you have already installed a Servlet Container, fill in the following
details. If you have not already installed a Servlet Container, you can
skip this step now and install Tomcat from the SAS Software Navigator.
Note: If you use Tomcat as your Servlet Container, you must change the
default Tomcat installation location to contain NO SPACES.
