Problem Note 36183: "No dose variable in model" error or LOG options do not transform dose variable used in interaction

If you specify the LOG, LN, or LOG10 option and if the first continuous predictor specified in the MODEL statement (called the dose variable) is also specified in an interaction effect, then beginning in SAS 9.2, PROC PROBIT issues the following message:
ERROR: No dose variable in model.
and no results are displayed. In releases prior to SAS 9.2, the error message is not issued and results are displayed. However, only the main effect of the dose variable is log transformed. The dose variable in the interaction is not log transformed.
To avoid both problems, use the LOG or LOG10 function in the DATA step to create a new variable that is the log transform of the dose variable. Specify the new variable in the MODEL statement of PROC PROBIT, and omit the LOG, LN, or LOG10 option.
