Problem Note 35127: Equivalent Models Produce Different Results in PROC MIXED
PROC MIXED returns incorrect results when you have a RANDOM statement, and a REPEATED statement with no repeated effect specified, and any one of the following situations:
- the response variable has a missing value for the first observation for the 2nd subject and/or any subsequent subject, or
- WEIGHT statement and the WEIGHT variable has a missing value for the first observation for the 2nd subject and/or any subsequent subject, or
- INFLUENCE option in the MODEL statement.
The circumvention is to always specify the repeated effect in the REPEATED statement.
The problem has been fixed in SAS 9.2 TS2M2.
