Usage Note 9031: How do I apply my license if its expired and the SAS Renewal Tool does
not accept my new SAS Installation Data file?
If SAS 9.0 is expired and the SAS Renewal Tool does not
accept your SAS Installation Data (SID) file, do the following:
1. Run the SAS Administrator Wizard (SAW) from the SAW directory,
by running setup.exe, located in the following locations:
* Personal Users image on the network: !sasroot\Disk1\saw.
* Client Users image on the network: !sasroot\saw.
* Local Personal install or downloading the file:
Place the SAS Setup CD in your CD-ROM drive and go to the
\SAW directory.
2. When you run the SAW, select Internet, and type in your SAS
Installation Key and Order Number. Click "Save a copy of the SAS
Installation Data to disk". Note the location or select Browse and
chose a new location.
* If you are updating the Personal Users image or a Client users
image on the Network, leave "Exit after saving" unchecked.
* If you are updating a Personal install or downloading the
file, check "Exit after Saving".
3. To update a local Personal install after the SAS Installation Data
file has been downloaded, run the SAS Renewal Tool. See SAS Note
#008533 for more details:
#008533
4. If your still having problems make sure you have write access to all
necessary directories.
