Problem Note 71151: An “Actionable entity” might display the incorrect entity in the scenario “Alert” section in SAS® Visual Investigator

If you open a flow from the Alerts page in SAS Visual Investigator and select a scenario to view its properties, the Actionable entity that is displayed might be incorrect. 

For example, this issue occurs when you complete steps similar to the following:

  1. Open the TM Daily Cash flow from the Alerts page.
  2. Select the Large cash deposits scenario.

    On the Properties tab, the out-of-the-box (OOTB) Actionable entity should be Customer. However, as shown in the screenshot below, the Actionable entity might be incorrectly displayed as Account.

Workaround

To circumvent this issue, do either of the following:

A) Duplicate the flow.

B) Complete the following steps (where the Large cash deposits scenario displayed the incorrect Actionable entity above): 

  1. Select another scenario within the flow where the Actionable entity should be Account. For example, the Funnel account scenario.
  2. If you have not reordered the scenarios, select the next scenario after the Funnel account scenario. This scenario should be Large total cash transactions by risk classification.
  3. Return to the Large cash deposits scenario by selecting it. ​​​​​​

    After you complete these steps, the Actionable entity for the Large cash deposits scenario should be displayed correctly:
