Note that DataFlux Data Management 2.9.1 is a prerequisite for any patch that is released on SAS^® Data Management Studio 2.9 or SAS^® Data Management Server 2.9 after December 1, 2024. The recommended method for obtaining and deploying DataFlux Data Management 2.9.1 is to use the standard SAS^® Deployment Wizard to deploy an updated SAS Software Depot. This method updates all SAS software, including the SAS Data Management Platform, to the latest levels.

In time-sensitive situations, there might be a business need to update only DataFlux Data Management Studio and DataFlux Data Management Server to 2.9.1 to apply a critical patch. To facilitate this need, SAS is providing a 2.9.1 Data Management Patch installer that can be used.

Important Notes:

• Additional patches are required if you use DataFlux Secure or DataFlux ODBC drivers with SSL or secure authentication enabled. To obtain the 2.9.1 Secure installers, contact SAS Technical Support and reference this SAS Note.
   
• 2.9.1 provides all of the hot fixes that are mentioned on the hot fix download pages for DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.9 and DataFlux Data Management Server 2.9, including the 2024 Q3 release of the updated ODBC drivers for DataFlux.
   
• Before installing 2.9.1, it is important to review the release notes for the 2024 Q3 release of the updated ODBC drivers found in SAS Note 66084.
   
• After installing 2.9.1, SAS recommends that you install the most recent update for the DataFlux ODBC drivers. See SAS Note 66084 for the most recent update.
   
• With 2.9.1, all nodes that rely on the old US/Canada address and geocode datapacks will no longer appear under Enrichment in the list of nodes that can be added to a new job in Data Management Studio.  Existing jobs that rely on these nodes will NOT be affected. The list of nodes that will be hidden with this update can be found in the Affected DataFlux Nodes section in SAS Note 69827.
   
• If needed, you can expose all hidden nodes by commenting out the JOBEDITOR/HIDDENPLUGINS configuration option added by the update installer that is found in the Data Management Studio \etc\ui.cfg file. Alternatively, you can select only specific nodes to make visible by removing them individually from the list. After making any changes to the ui.cfg file, it is important to restart Data Management Studio to ensure that the changes are loaded.   
  
  For example, removing ADDRESS_VERIFY from the list shown below makes the Address Verification (US/Canada) node visible.
