Problem Note 71044: Combining CAS tables in a DATA Step might produce the error "The operation was not performed"

Combining SAS® Cloud Analytics Services (CAS) tables in a DATA Step might produce the following error message:
ERROR: The operation was not performed because contact with at least one node was lost before the operation could complete.
This problem occurs when you include the APPEND= and PARTITION= data set options for the CAS table being created.
