Problem Note 70948: Selecting and opening multiple SAS data sets at the same time in SAS® Enterprise Guide® might result in errors

Within SAS Enterprise Guide, when you attempt to open multiple data sets simultaneously via File ► Open ► Servers or within the Servers ► server-name ► Files window, errors similar to the following might occur:
Cannot open data set "adsmsg".
The open data operation failed. The following error occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Cannot open data set "cars".
Connection is lost or abandoned.
Unable to open the item named "cars.sas7bdat".
Cannot open data set "bmt".
Unable to clear or re-assign the library ECI00001 because it is still in use.
Cannot open data set "adsmsg".
The open data operation failed. The following error occurred. Unable to cast COM object of type ...
No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)).
