With this SAS® hot fix for SAS® 9.4M8 (TS1M8), SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Teradata adds support for Teradata Tools and Utilities (TTU) 17.20 and later in AIX environments.
This hot fix accommodates changes available in Teradata Tools and Utilities (TTU) 17.20 on AIX. With the initial release of SAS 9.4M8, these changes resulted in significant issues with SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Teradata. The Teradata Tools and Utilities MultiLoad, FastExport, and FastLoad capabilities are "capped" with the release of TTU 17.20. With this hot fix, SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Teradata on AIX uses Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) API equivalents to provide these capabilities. When you use the “capped” capabilities, a message is printed to the SAS log stating that TPT Multiload, TPT FastLoad, or TPT Fastexport is being used. In addition, when you specify TPT=NO, that setting is now ignored.
