Problem Note 70816: An e-file submission of a Suspicious Activity Report to US FinCEN using SAS® Anti-Money Laundering fails because of unsupported XLS attachments
You are able to attach XLS files to a SAR/SARX (Suspicious Activity Report) regulatory report page in SAS Anti-Money Laundering even though US FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) accepts CSV files with only less than one megabyte in file size as attachments. As a result, the e-file submission of the regulatory report would fail.
To prevent XLS files from being added as attachments to a SAR/SARX report, modify the "reportAttachmentMimeTypes" preference setting by removing "application/vnd.ms-excel" from the default list.
