Problem Note 70795: A misleading error message can occur if you configure SAS to use the sas-services-daemon for authentication
If you configure SAS to use the sas-services-daemon to perform authentication and the daemon is not running, an error similar to the following occurs in the SAS® Metadata Server and SAS® Object Spawner logs:
Unable to launch authentication utility
This message is misleading because it usually indicates a failure to launch the sasauth process using root-setuid.
A more accurate message is needed indicating that the authentication fails because the sas-services-daemon is not active.
