Problem Note 70771: SAS/ACCESS ® Interface to DB2 threads are left active when used from the SAS/CONNECT® server and the SAS/CONNECT server abruptly terminates
When using SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2 in a SAS/CONNECT server environment on z/OS, if the SAS/CONNECT server terminates abruptly, DB2 threads are left active and result in UNIX System Services (USS) orphaned processes.
To clean up the active DB2 threads, an IPL of the z/OS system is required.
An example of the abrupt termination is exceeding MAXCPUTIME (S322 abend).
