Problem Note 70707: You might be able to add a .bat file as an attachment to an alert

When editing an alert, by design, you use the attachment toolbar item to attach files. When you use the attachment toolbar item, you might be able to attach a file with a .bat extension.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update.
With this hot fix, you will be prevented from attaching a file with a .bat extension and the following message will occur:
The file <file ID> has a file
type of "application/x-msdos-program", which is not supported
