Problem Note 70682: SAS® Cloud Analytics Services generates a floating point exception when saving a compressed table that contains a VARCHAR variable
In SAS® Viya® 3.5 only, a floating point exception occurs in SAS Cloud Analytic Services (CAS) when attempting to save a table. The condition occurs when you use compression and the table contains at least one variable that is defined with a type of VARCHAR.
As a result, the client reports an error similar to the following:
ERROR: A floating point exception or access violation occurred that prevents progress of the analysis.
ERROR: The action stopped due to errors.
A workaround for this issue is to not use compression for the table.
