Problem Note 70630: An attempt to save a file to a SAS Content folder from SAS® Studio 5.2 (Enterprise) might fail

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

From SAS Studio 5.2 (Enterprise), the Save button might be grayed out when you attempt to save a file to a SAS Content folder.

If a Web Application Firewall (WAF) is in place, that application might prevent SAS® Studio from saving files. When this issue occurs, the HAR file displays the following when a save is attempted:

400 "Bad request</title>\r\n</head>\r\n<body>The requested URL was rejected."

It is recommended to check the WAF logs if the following message occurs:

Violations: Illegal meta character in parameter name.

Then, clear the SAS Studio URL in the WAF.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update.

Note: The hot fix does not change the WAF behavior but provides a mechanism to report a problem with the WAF to the user interface.
