Problem Note 70553: Attempting to clone a Git repository with the user interface in SAS® Studio 5.2 fails with “ERROR: failed to authenticate with the remote repository”

Attempting to clone a Git repository with the user interface in SAS Studio 5.2 fails with the following error:

ERROR: failed to authenticate with the remote repository.

This problem occurs if the password contains a special character (that is, £).

To circumvent this issue, remove the special character from the password or use the GIT_CLONE function to clone the repository.
