When you select a large number of columns to display on a grid—by design—you should be able to resize the column, and the changes that you made should remain when you navigate back to the page that contains the grid. However, columns that you resize revert to their original dimension. In addition, columns that you did not resize collapse and cannot be used.

Selecting fewer items to display in the grid might work around the problem.
