Problem Note 70511: Search results are displayed but then disappear in SAS® Visual Investigator

Because of a paging issue, when search results go beyond a page, a search for a specific item might be briefly displayed and then disappear. This issue is known to occur starting with Hot Fix 3 through Hot Fix 7.

Here is an example using an account entity that is known to cause the problem:

  1. Use the Search bar to search for all account entities. The expected result is to be more than one page.
  2. Switch from the Detail view to the Table view to view the search results in a grid.
  3. Use the page navigator to go to the next page.
  4. Change the search to select only one account. Here is an example: +_type:ACCount +account_number:01-0203040807.
  5. The account is displayed briefly but then disappears.

To work around this problem, complete the following steps

  1. Use the Search bar to search for all entities.
  2. Navigate to the first page.
  3. Change the selection to search for one account. The resulting account will be displayed.
