Problem Note 70272: SAS® Viya® 3.5 scheduled jobs fail to connect to SAS® Cloud Analytic Services with the error "The request to start or connect to a session failed..."
SAS Viya 3.5 jobs that use the job execution service fail when connecting to SAS Cloud Analytic Service.
This failure affects scheduled jobs and jobs that run from the Job Execution Web Application. This issue does not affect SAS® Studio connections to SAS Cloud Analytic Service since SAS Studio automatically provides the SAS Cloud Analytic Service connection information.
When this issue occurs, the following error occurs in the job log:
ERROR: The request to start or connect to a session failed. Specify a UUID to connect to an existing session or specify a session name, port and host name to start a session.
Another symptom of this issue is the following error, which is printed to the compsrv log:
ERROR [00000013] sasuser - SubmitRequestWithFiles: uri='https://localhost:8501/v1/catalog/service/cas-shared-default', correlator='X-SAS-Correlator: ADB99635-6F72-BD44-80F8-A5FA89D25C4B;'.
ERROR [00000013] sasuser - SubmitRequestWithFiles: status=8dbff828 httpStatus=403 'Forbidden'.
ERROR [00000013] sasuser - HTTP error returned from service.
