Problem Note 70238: Using the IMPORT procedure with a comma-delimited .dbf file in SAS® 9.4M7 (TS1M7) and SAS® 9.4M8 (TS1M8) can result in a Segmentation Violation
When SAS/ACCESS® Interface to PC Files tries to read in a .dbf file using DBMS=DBF, it expects the data to be null-delimited. However, if you format the data as comma-delimited, a Segmentation Violation error similar to the following can occur:
ERROR: An exception has been encountered.
