Problem Note 70231: Appending data to a table stored in Microsoft Synapse results in the message "ERROR: There is already an object named 'table_name' in the database"

When you use the APPEND procedure to insert data into an existing table that is stored in Microsoft Synapse, the following error occurs:
ERROR: Error attempting to CREATE a DBMS table. ERROR: CLI execute error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 18 for SQL Server][SQL Server]There is already an object named 'table_name' in the database.
Workaround
Use the SQL procedure to insert data into the Microsoft Synapse table instead of PROC APPEND.
