Sometimes when you select date values in report controls, they are not propagated to the target linked reports. You encounter this issue when you complete steps similar to the following:

1. Create a SAS Visual Analytics report (source report) that contains a drop-down list as the report control and a list table. The drop-down list contains a DATE data item as a role and the list table contains other data items.
2. Create another report (target report) that contains the same drop-down list as a report control, and add the other report’s objects in the target report.​​​​​​
3. Create a report link between the list table in the source report and the target report. This link makes it so that, when you select any DATE data value in the drop-down list in the source report and you click a value in the list table, the selected value in the report control is passed to the linked target report and the target report is filtered for this value.
   
   However, in this scenario, the selected values in report controls might not be passed to the linked target reports. This problem mainly occurs when the report control has a DATE data item as a role and when the source and the target report are based on mapped data sources.

When you double-click the category in the list table, the target report opens. However, the drop-down list does not contain the selected date value:
