Problem Note 70066: The JSON engine returns the error "ERROR: Invalid JSON in input near line 1 column 85746: Some code points did not transcode"

Reading a JSON file into SAS that runs with UTF-8 encoding might fail with the following error:
ERROR: Invalid JSON in input near line 1 column 85746: Some code points did not transcode.
The error is sporadic and can occur when the JSON file contains UTF-8 encoded characters.
