Problem Note 70983: SAS® Enterprise Guide® intermittently loses connection to the workspace server and returns "The connection to server has been lost"
SAS Enterprise Guide intermittently loses connection to the workspace server running programs or projects with the following message:
The connection to server "SASApp" has been lost. SAS Enterprise Guide was unable to communicate with the server at <date> <time>.
In addition, the following error message is written to the SAS Enterprise Guide log window:
Error: The connection to the server has been lost.
If Enabling logging in SAS® Enterprise Guide® 7.1 and later is enabled per SAS KB0036457, the following error is written to the application log:
ERROR SAS.Shared.Exceptions.ServerExceptionHelper [(null)] - MapException() - Mapping error for:
SAS.EC.IntTechWrapper.WrapperLostException: The connection to the remote object has been lost. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: End of data set reached.
