Problem Note 70721: Connections using Remote Library Services (RLS) or the INHERITLIB option might fail

Remote Library Services (RLS) connections from an external SAS/CONNECT client (such as SAS® 9.4 or SAS® Viya® 3.x) might fail when connecting to SAS® Viya® 2024.01 and later with an error message similar to the one below. In addition, SIGNONs or RSUBMITs using the INHERITLIB parameter might also fail with a similar error.
NOTE: Remote signon to XXXXX complete.
ERROR: Attempt to connect to server XXXXX rejected by server.
Server XXXXX is running release V.04.00M0P01162024 (180) of SAS (r) and is not compatible with the remote engine running Release 9.04.01M7P08052020 (170) of SAS (r).
