Problem Note 70577: Importing a grid enabled application server into SAS® Metadata Server maps the grid server to an empty field

When you import a grid enabled application server via SAS® Management Console into the metadata, the grid server loses its mapping and resets to None:
The workaround is to manually update the field in SAS Management Console after you perform the import. For example, enter SASApp - Grid Server in the Grid server field.
