Problem Note 70566: Issues that are addressed in Hot Fix 6.2.6 for SAS® Event Stream Processing
Hot Fix 6.2.6 for SAS Event Stream Processing contains the following fixes and enhancements.
Enhancements:
- Enhanced the Avro format library with support for the following:
- Converted an Avro logical decimal in an Avro record to an ESP double.
- Converted an Avro logical decimal in an Avro array to an ESP double array or a comma-separated ESP string.
- Published an Avro array of records to a single ESP event using ESP array fields or comma-separated strings.
- Published an Avro array of AVRO_MAP or AVRO_ARRAY elements to a single ESP event using an ESP comma-separated string.
- In the OPCUA connector and adapter, added publisher support for GUID types, an array of GUID, UtcTime, IntegerId, an array of Float, an array of UInt32, an array of UInt64, and an array of Boolean.
- Support the CBOR binary protocol for the WebSocket API.
- Added the optional GDpub_numAcks configuration parameter to the pubsub guaranteed delivery feature.
- Updated the SAS branded DataDirect ODBC drivers.
- Enabled Elliptical Curve ciphers for secure connections to the ESP server.
- Added support for reading and writing kafka headers to a kafka connector and adapter.
Fixes:
- In the PI Web connector and adapter, corrected the memory management for error scenarios.
- Fixed a WebSocket unexpected failure after a connect false.
- Fixed an issue with the string conversion in a functional window.
- Enabled connection information transfer for WebSocket reconnect.
- Changed sequencing in connection destructor to avoid unexpected failure.
- Fixed a race condition when metering an incoming event block.
- In the Avro format library, fixed missing commas in the Avro array of records conversion to an ESP string field.
- In the OPCDA adapter, present a browsing dialog only if the tagsfile parameter is not configured, does not exist, or does not contain any valid tags.
- In the Avro format library, handle cases where the type value for a logical decimal in an Avro schema is an array.
- Fixed a parsing issue in JSON.

After applying this hot fix, the metering database file might need to be re-created. The default metering database file is located at /opt/sas/viya/config/etc/SASEventStreamProcessingEngine/default/metering.mv.db.
Note: The previous version of the metering database file should be renamed. When the metering server starts, a new metering database file is created.
