When loading external alert entities into the memory in the SAS Visual Investigator Manage Investigate and Search Alerts workspace, an error occurs when both of the following are true:

• The underlying database is Microsoft SQL Server
• The data connector being used is SAS/ACCESS^® Interface to Microsoft SQL Server

As a result, the following error occurs:

This error occurs because SAS/ACCESS® Interface to ODBC is the supported data connector for SAS Visual Investigator and not SAS/ACCESS^® Interface to Microsoft SQL Server. For additional information, see Support for Databases | SAS Support.
