Problem Note 70389: Data Source Substitution fails on a validation comparison in SAS® Visual Investigator with the error "The flow "flux sub" could not be executed"
SAS® Visual Investigator 10.8.1 HF3 introduced a new feature for the manual loading of data sources in CAS, "Retaining Flow Source Data in CAS."
When implementing this feature with source data in Oracle, the flow fails to run. As a result, the following error message occurs in the VSD log:
The flow "flux sub" could not be executed. Http Status: 50NTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR cause: java.util.concurrent.CompletionException: java.lang.NullPointerException
This issue is specific to the Oracle database defining the columns as uppercase. The casing is preserved in the data object. However, the data source substitution code fails in our validation on a casing comparison.
Workaround
To circumvent this issue, make the Oracle database table define the columns in lowercase.
