Problem Note 70305: Using the PDFSECURITY=HIGH system option results in PDF output that is encoded with 128-bit RC4 encoding instead of AES 256 encoding
Using the PDFSECURITY=HIGH system option with the ODS PDF destination results in PDF output that is encrypted with 128-bit RC4 encryption instead of AES 256 encryption. However, 128-bit encrypted RC4 no longer offers adequate security and is deprecated in PDF 2.0.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After applying the hot fix, the use of the PDFSECURITY=HIGH system option results in PDF output that is encrypted with the stronger AES 256 encryption.
