Usage Note 7553: How to update the password data base in SPD Server with PSMGR
Adding, deleting and updating accounts with SPD Server is done via the
application 'psmgr'. This is a restricted process to prevent
unauthorized access. The restrictions are:
1) You must have system execute permissions for 'psmgr'
2) You must have system write permissions for the password data files
(which are stored in the site directory named like .sppwd* )
Additionally, if your system (UNIX or PC) login account is not the owner
of the password data base, then you must authenticate. Authentication
is done by running 'psmgr' and subsequently issuing the 'authenticate'
command.
This will prompt you for a userid and password. Present an SPD Server
userid and password and if the account is an administrator account, you
will be given full access permissions.
