Star Office cannot read RTF files generated with ODS in SAS 9.
RTF files generated with ODS RTF was intended for use with Microsoft
Word, but does work with various other word processing packages such
as Star Office. To create a RTF file on UNIX that can be read with
Star Office, use the below workaround for SAS 9.

Instead of this:

   ods rtf file="myfile.rtf";

write this:

   filename output pipe 'sed s/\\\\clcbpat0//g > myfile.rtf';
   ods rtf file=output;

This pipes the RTF output into a fileref that transforms the output by
removing the \clcbpat0 command which causes trouble for Star Office. The
transformed output will work with Microsoft Office as well.
