You cannot select a cell value in a Relationships control grid. In contrast, you can select and copy a cell value in a Related Objects control grid. 

For example, if you select a related objects sub-tab on the Related Items tab on a Case Details page, you can highlight a cell value to copy its contents, as shown here where the Customer Number is highlighted: 

But you cannot highlight a cell value in a related objects sub-tab of the Relationships tab on a Case Details page. For example, you cannot highlight the Customer Number as shown here, therefore preventing you from copying its content:
