Using SAS Add-In for Microsoft Excel to access ODBC data with more than 1,048,576 rows might result in duplicate rows and/or missing rows.

Excel has a worksheet row limitation of 1,048,576 rows. When SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office inserts data with more rows than the Excel limit, SAS continues inserting data on subsequent worksheets. SAS Add-In for Microsoft Excel closes the data recordset when it reaches the Excel worksheet row limit, and then it reopens the recordset for each subsequent worksheet.

If the ODBC data is not sequential, the data received by SAS Add-In for Microsoft Excel might result in duplicate rows and/or missing rows. 

For example, you might encounter this issue when accessing AWS Athena using SAS/ACCESS^® Interface to ODBC to access ODBC libraries.
