If you install latest hot fixes for SAS Viya 3.5, the folders service might fail to update events and the following error might occur in the folders service log :

This issue causes members whose metadata changes to not be updated. This behavior occurs regardless of the type of member involved. So renaming a project, file, report, and so on does not cause the member to be updated. Instead, the name in the folder structure remains the unchanged. This behavior causes the creation of a new project to fail because it tries to create a member with the old name, and a member with that name already exists. 

This issue occurs in the folders service version 2.35.0. You can find this version information in the most recent folders service log that is located in the /opt/sas/viya/config/var/log/folders/default/ directory, as shown below:
