Problem Note 69539: ODBC CASLIB fails to connect and receives the error: "ERROR: ERROR: LDAP authentication failed for user 'user ID'"
In SAS/ACCESS® Interface to ODBC, if you try to connect to a database using a password that contains a special character, the connection might fail. As a result, an error similar to the following occurs:
ERROR: The connection to the data source driver failed.
ERROR: ERROR: LDAP authentication failed for user 'user ID'
ERROR: Function failed.
To circumvent this issue, change your password. Do not include special characters such as the following in your password: @. &, ^
