Usage Note 69396: The SASĀ® Merchandise Planning status bar might not be displayed with Microsoft Edge in Internet Explorer mode
When you access the SAS Merchandise Planning solution with the Edge browser in Internet Explorer mode, the status bar might not be displayed. Although Edge does not currently support a status bar, you can complete the steps in one of the following options to have a status bar:
Option 1
- If the Internet Explorer browser icon exists on the desktop, click it to log on to the application using the application URL.
Note: If the Internet Explorer icon is not on the desktop, go to: c:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer, and double-click iexplore.exe to launch Internet Explorer using the application URL to log on. If iexplore.exe does not exist, go to Option 2.
- In the light blue bar at the top of the screen, right-click and select the Show Status Bar option.
- Close Internet Explorer.
- In Edge, enter the application URL or use the application shortcut icon.
- Select to open the application in Internet Explorer mode.
- Right-click the light blue bar and select Show Status Bar if it is not selected.
- The status bar might now be displayed at the bottom of the screen when you are in Plan Management.
Option 2
- On the desktop, launch the machine Registry Editor, which you can do by using the command regedit in the program search area.
- Select HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MINIE.
- Right-click and select New - DWORD (32-bit) Value.
- Add the following Value Name: "AlwaysShowMenus"
- Repeat and add the following Value Name: "ShowStatusBar"
- Right-click the AlwaysShowMenus entry and select Modify.
- Update the Value Data to 1, update Base to Decimal, and click OK to close.
- Right-click the ShowStatusBar entry and select Modify.
- Update the Value Data to 1, update Base to Decimal, and click OK to close.
- Launch the application. You should now be able to see the status bar.
