Usage Note 69377: A "DECPRIOR=; ...Syntax error, expecting one of the following..." error is displayed in the node log of a modeling node
When you run a modeling node in SAS® Enterprise Miner™, errors such as the following might be displayed in the node log:
14982 good_bad="GOOD"; COUNT=700; DATAPRIOR=0.7; TRAINPRIOR=0.7; DECPRIOR=; DECISION1=1; DECISION2=0; - 22
14984 good_bad="BAD"; COUNT=300; DATAPRIOR=0.3; TRAINPRIOR=0.3; DECPRIOR=; DECISION1=0; DECISION2=1; - 22
ERROR 22-322: Syntax error, expecting one of the following: a name, a quoted string, a numeric constant, a datetime constant, a missing value, INPUT, PUT.
In this example, the syntax error occurs because DECPRIOR=; is not valid syntax.
To work around the error, take these actions.
1. Add the following OPTIONS statement to the Enterprise Miner Project Start Code:
options missing=.;
For an example about how to add an OPTIONS statement to the Project Start Code, see SAS Note 58396, "Specify the MPRINT option in SAS®
Enterprise Miner(tm) Project Start Code to display additional diagnostic information in node logs."
2. Delete the problem node. Replace it with a new one but do not copy and paste the problem node.
3. Run the new node.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any existing node logs in which the error is displayed.
