Problem Note 68981: Using a certain combination of options sometimes causes incorrect results with SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Oracle
Invalid results might be returned if you use SAS/ACCESS Interface to Oracle with a certain combination of options.
The following options, when used together in a program, are known to produce invalid results. However, the exact same code with these options can produce the correct results when run repeatedly:
- the LIBNAME statement option CONNECTION=GLOBAL
- the LIBNAME statement option READBUFF= with a value that is greater than 1000
- the LIBNAME statement option DBCOMMIT=1000 (1000 is the default value)
- a series of steps that use implicit and explicit SQL queries to create Oracle tables and that do not use the ORDER BY clause
The only reliable workarounds are to do one or more of the following:
- Remove the CONNECTION=GLOBAL option.
- Use the DBCOMMIT=0 option.
