If row-level security is enabled for a table in SAS Viya, then a profile on the table should not return results. Profile results in this case are misleading, because all of the statistics in the profile report are based only on the rows that you are enabled to access.
If you want to profile only a subset of rows, create a new table that consists of only those rows and then run a profile on that separate table. If you have full access to all rows in the table, then you can create a copy of the table and profile the table without row-level security enabled.
After the hot fix in this note is applied, the profile action in SAS Data Explorer is updated to return an error message that states that tables with row-level security cannot be profiled.
