Problem Note 68624: SAS® Forecast Studio fails or stops responding when you re-forecast a project or close the application and a Segmentation Violation error might occur
In SAS Forecast Studio, when you re-forecast your project or close the application, you might encounter one of the following symptoms:
	- SAS Forecast Studio stops the re-forecasting process, and an error similar to the following is displayed in the SAS log:
 
ERROR: A computational fault occurred during the diagnosis of series XXX.
	- SAS Forecast Studio stops responding, and one of the following messages is displayed in the user interface:
 
Reforecasting the project.
Closing SAS Forecast Studio.
	- SAS Forecast Studio stops responding, and an error similar to the following is displayed in the SAS log:
 
ERROR:  An exception has been encountered.
Please contact technical support and provide them with the following traceback information:
The SAS task name is [HPFDIAGN]
Segmentation Violation

The problem occurs when your project includes an event that meets the following conditions:
	- Type = TC or Temporary Change
 
	- Value = 1
 
	- Duration = ALL
 
To work around the issue, take either of these actions:
	- Delete the event from your project.
 
	- Specify a duration for the event that is different from ALL.
