Installation Note 68365: Removing the svi-import service with SAS® Visual Investigator 10.8
With SAS Visual Investigator 10.8, the svi-import service is obsolete. However, the deployment process does not remove this service from your SAS® Viya® deployment. This service should be in a stopped state, and it is not used for SAS Visual Investigator 10.8 functionality.
To manually remove the svi-import package, follow these steps:
- Stop the svi-import service. The service should be stopped already. But, if it is not, you can stop it by submitting this command:
systemctl stop sas-viya-svi-import-default
- Remove the svi-import package by submitting this command:
yum remove sas-svi-import
These steps are required for SAS Visual Investigator 10.8 deployments that are built prior to the 21w39 release of SAS Viya.
