Problem Note 68339: Gauge report objects in SASĀ® Visual Analytics might not be in the color that was defined in the rules when a measure value is out of range
Starting with SAS Visual Analytics 8.3, you might encounter the following behavior if you are using a gauge report object that is displayed as a dial.
- When a measure value is out of range of the defined rules, the center of the dial is a dark green color for upper bounds.
- When a measure value is out of range of the defined rules, the center of the dial is a dark red color for lower bounds.
The behavior was different in previous versions of the software. Previously, the center of the dial would be the color that you defined for upper or lower bounds in the rules. Starting with SAS Visual Analytics 8.3, the color of the center of the dial does not reflect the color of the interval that you defined in the rules for gauge report objects.
You encounter this behavior when you complete steps similar to the following:
- Define rules so that the upper bounds are displayed in blue and the lower bounds are displayed in light blue.
- Add data that is out of bounds.
- View the gauge report object.
As shown in the image, the color of the center of the dial is dark red for upper bounds and it is dark green for lower bounds.
