When a query that is being passed to Postgres includes an IN clause, the values might be split into multiple IN clauses containing 255 values rather than including all of the values in one IN clause. For example, an IN clause with 1,000 values would result in three IN clauses containing 255 values and one IN clause containing the remaining 235 values. The multiple IN clauses are separated by the OR operator.
