Problem Note 68197: An update to SAS® Viya® 3.5 is causing SAS Viya client connection issues

After you apply the latest hot fixes for SAS Viya 3.5, some client applications are receiving errors similar to the following:
Http Status: 500 INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR cause: CASRuntimeException: An error occurred when executing the CAS action. Exception: Function failed. Http Status: 500 INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR Error Code: 66009 cause: com.sas.cas.CASException: Function failed. (severity=2 reason=0 statusCode=310002)
NOTE: Performing serial SaveTable action using SAS Data Connector to PostgreSQL.
ERROR: The connection to the data source driver failed.
ERROR: General Error - invalid Exception
ERROR: Function failed.
ERROR: The action stopped due to errors.

The update to SAS Viya is applying an incorrect version of the PostgreSQL Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) driver. Because some of the SAS Viya clients use this driver in their internal communications, the failure occurs.
The current workaround is to use this command to downgrade the current driver:
yum downgrade sas-psqlodbc-11.01.0000-20190905.1567713256286
