The SAS Embedded Process for Hadoop supports the Cloudera Data Platform 7.x (CDP7.x) Private Cloud for in-database processing when you apply the hot fix in this SAS Note. Here are notes about this fix:

• The Hive Warehouse Connector with Spark Direct Reader mode must be used to read/write Hive tables on CDP7.x.. 
• The SAS Embedded Process can read/write Hive tables only with HADOOPPLATFORM=SPARK. HADOOPPLATFORM=MAPRED is not supported with Hive tables on CDP7.x.
• SAS Hadoop Embedded Process version 19 is required.
• You can now dispatch SAS Embedded Process for Spark jobs using the Apache Livy REST service. This job is specified with the SAS_EP_JOB_MANAGEMENT_URL environment variable.
• You can now dispatch SAS Embedded Process for Spark jobs from Microsoft Windows if you use the Apache Livy REST service.
